If the flourescent bulb doesn't have dark gray 'burns' on either side of the glass tube (possible replacement of tube, burns means it's gettin old), would take the aluminum dingus barrel outa the fixture & get an identical cheap spare or two from a RadioShack. Better to spend a couple bucks doing it yourself than letting a $30/hour electrician running on the landlord clock do the work.

The landlord will appreciate it, so if unforseen problems arise (something happens making a few months rent late, or missing), he'll consider that. Are you a whining deadbeat tenant? Do you do any work yourself to keep-up the premesis?

i've invested lots into this place (with his
permission) to make it better... i've painted
both bathrooms & the kitchen/washing area, added
an extra step to the backdoor (due to the fact
that massive amounts of water pool by the door),
as well as pay for my own air filters (which i
shouldn't pay for), in addition to repairing
the window blinds (that are shit) and their
attachments (which will have to be here when i
leave), and i've even raked and pruned my yard,
fixed my upstairs toilet, used insecticide for
the friggin MASS of ticks out back, i have
replaced the oven knob (which didn't fit) and
gave tom the one i purchased so that he could
return the unused one for the refund......

all these things that are (from my experience)
done by the landlord.

i have also been the longest-running tennant
he's ever had (going on 3 years)... i have paid
in advance (3 month intervals) and i have paid
workers that have come to service the place
in lieu of tom (the landlord).

i have even spent weeks waiting on him to get
the friggin a/c fixed..... (if anyone remembers
THAT thread...lol)

these are just some of the things i've done
while living here....

no no.... not THAT toilet problem....

the cell phone is still in the toilet downstairs...
but do to the shitty pipes, all sorts of
plumbing problems occur here... and i try not
to mess with that kinda thing.

but there was a time when the upstairs toilet
was ganked and er....... well i fixed it [img]redface.gif[/img]

shatzy pulling TG out of the toilet after you dunny flushed him does not count as either a ganked toilet or you fixing it

Think Ballast.Thats what that rectangular box is called thats up there with the Flourescent Mo fos.Its wired in,mines about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide(no jokes please).Anyways,put new bulbs in first,then if that doesnt work get those ballasts at you localy owned hardware store.
